So, if you didn’t apply for the lottery months ago, you unfortunately will miss out on the 25th running of the Soulstice Mountain Trail Run on Oct. 12 in the vast expanse of Parks. You also are out of luck if you were hoping to jump in at the last minute and run next Saturday’s Flagstaff Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K at the Nordic Ski Center.
Sorry. Both races are sold out. Just too darn popular. It will be interesting to see how many runners go for the double: do the Flagstaff Marathon one Saturday, then turn around the do the Soulstice (11.2 or 6.2) the next Saturday. Soulstice is as flat as the Flagstaff Marathon is hilly.
